Rmishka Singh

Since joining SHM in 2009 Rmishka has worked in the public and voluntary sector, predominantly with the Learning and Skills Council and Edge (a charitable foundation). Rmishka’s work at SHM has drawn on her ability to engage with people of all ages and backgrounds and build up excellent relationships. She has developed a creative strategic approach to projects she is involved with, as an interviewer, researcher and facilitator. She has recently taken on the role of project manager for the Learning and Skills Improvement Service’s 14 – 19 Panel, which brings together twenty learners aged 13-20 over the period of a year, providing a platform to explore issues relating to 14-19 education. Rmishka also works as a mentor to a pair of teenagers in Scotland, helping them to mount a national campaign against homophobic intolerance in schools as part of a project with Channel 4’s Battlefront Project.

Prior to joining SHM Rmishka worked as a Junior Consultant and Researcher at ABL Cultural Consulting, Production Assistant at a film-editing company in Sydney, a travel writer for Rough Guides and as Operations Manager for Languages at Lunch, a language-teaching company. Rmishka holds a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages from the Oxford University, and is fluent in French and Spanish.
