Neil Green

Neil Green joined SHM as a consultant in late 2009 and is a member of the transformational strategy team. Since joining SHM, the majority of his work has been focused around the management and review of organisational change programmes in the private sector, for companies such as Unilever. Neil is motivated by understanding and engaging with people, getting to know what makes them tick, and using this insight to form innovative solutions to complex business problems.

Though the majority of the work he does for SHM is in the commercial side, Neil’s background has strong roots in the third sector. Neil once led a team of international volunteers to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL) in an orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal – during which time he personally procured international sponsorships that secured the educational futures of several children at the home. This experience sparked an interest in doing business in the developing and emerging markets; which was the basis for his postgraduate dissertation.

Neil graduated top of his class in his undergraduate degree (1st Class Hons, English Literature), has a master’s in Management (high distinction) from Cass Business School, and is the current holder of the Worshipful Company of Marketor’s prize for original contribution in the field of marketing.
