Emilie Gassion
Emilie Gassion joined SHM in 2007, and since has worked on a range of projects in Britain and France with public and private sector organisations. She has worked as a project co-ordinator for the National Student Forum (NSF), which provides government and other key stakeholders with direct access to students and gives a greater voice to students on HE courses across England. Her role has required her to liaise with NSF members and stakeholders and engage them with the on-going activity of the forum.
Part of the Insight and Analysis team, she has worked on the NHS Pledges consultation and testing programme. She has also played a key role in the implementation of the tool “Frontline”, an online learning resource that has made it possible for frontline workers in a range of different organizations to recognize and deal with mental health problems that are hard to detect among the general public. More recently she worked on a number of reviews for Telford and Wrekin Council, including a review of social inclusion services, disability equipment services, and transition arrangements for young people on the autistic spectrum.
Emilie has very well-honed research skills, coming originally from a publishing, teaching and philosophy background.
Before joining SHM, Emilie worked for two years as a French teacher in London, and for a year as a supply Philosophy teacher in France. She also did a professional training in publishing, followed by a work experience as an editorial assistant in a publishing company based in Paris.
Emilie holds a Master in Philosophy from the University of Nantes, France.
