Alev has been working at SHM for over two years and since joining she has worked predominantly on public and third sector projects for organisations including the Learning and Skills Council, the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and Edge (a charitable foundation). Alev specialises in engaging with people, particularly hard to reach and disadvantaged young people. Alev has employed her excellent organisational skills through the project management of several projects for the Learning and Skills Council.
Before working at SHM Alev worked in a Special Educational Needs School. The skills she developed during her time there in engaging and empowering very disadvantaged young people have become invaluable to her work at SHM. Her skills in relationship building have led to her becoming a leader of the Edge Learner Forum, often facilitating sessions and speaking about the Forum in public.
Alev has a BA (Hons) in Media and Cultural Studies from Sussex University.
